Ano Sa mundo May casama ako

Hello every one this week has been such a crazing and busy so this week, It was like it almost didn't exist that's what this week was like.
Monday we got to work in my area we went and visited some of the members and tried to visit their less active members. But they were busy, so we went and visited one of the interested people brother Fiesta. He was a little surprised to see us at this time of day (the night). But he was willing to listen to us and so we had a very hard lesson with him because of all of the kids that were around but we got to introduce the Book of Mormon and had a decent opportunity to teach him he really appreciated the effort and the lesson even though it was hard. Then this night we slept in the Narvacan house.
Tuesday we went to district counsel only to find out the follow up training for the two trainees had been moved to Wednesday and that we would be travailing on Tuesday night to go to mission headquarters. After  the district counsel we had a Elder whose birthday it was and his parents bought pizza for the whole zone for his birthday. That was great he also got a bunch of liters of soda. One of the elders tried to pour the soda from one bottle to the other and had soda explode and spray all over 6 missionaries. This was pretty funny, but it was a pretty good experience and great bonding for the zone. After this we went and went back we went and visited a nanay and taught here about prophets this was quite interesting to hear some of the teachings of other religions through her answers to questions including that prophets are angles and that Jesus parted the red sea in order to get lots of fish for the children of Israel. But all in all it was a great lesson. After this lesson we went and got a bus and went down to the mission headquarters and stayed the night in the house of the AP's this was cool because several of my batch are training so I got to see them.
Wednesday we had a great follow up training where president and the AP's taught all about teaching repentance and president taught about commandments and how not only are they a sign of Gods love for us but that us following his commandments is a sign of love for him. It was amazing and I loved it. I always love hearing from president. We returned and in the evening went and found some new people to teach including a blind tatay who was actually a really good lesson despite him not being able to see.
Thursday was just a regular day of work outside which was so nice. We were finally able to get some work in for the week. We went and taught the one solid person with a baptism date. Brother Sampolio and it was great. He had read the entire introduction of the Book of Mormon and the testimonies in the front, and he had so many really good questions, like about the Urim and Thummim and other things. That just showed us that he had read, and he wanted to know. This lesson was amazing and lasted 2 and a half hours. We then taught the mom of one of the recent baptisms in the area. This was a great lesson nanay was supper receptive and liked the teaching about Joseph smith and how we have a living prophet today then in the evening we taught the the "Come Follow Me" to one of the perspective elders in the area and this was great. They were supper great and he loved the teaching and had lots of comments about the reading so this was great.
Friday we got the opportunity to go and have a community service project in Narvacan and help one of the members in Narvacan plant rice this was supper cool muddy and lots of fun as a district we have an opportunity to do it again tomorrow, but for one of the people the sisters are teaching. So yes all is well. Then in the afternoon we went out and worked and had lots of findings .
Saturday morning I got a call from the AP's saying that I now had a new companion and that he would come up on Monday. I was supper exited. They also said that I could go and clean the apartment and prepare for him. This was great until my kitchen sink decided to finally explode so I quickly plugged the pipe with my finger while the other two tried to find first the land lady who wasn't there. Then found the off switch for the whole compound.  Because every one but one woman was gone we talked with her, shut off the water so we could go and buy something to stop the water we then put a temporary faucet on to stop water coming out. We then had lunch and went to Candone for the musical devotional. We got to practice and I was told there were too many people in the bass section and they wanted me to become a tenor which was fine. We practiced then had the devotional. The devotional was great over half of the congregation was from Santa Maria and Narvacan who happen to be 30 to 45 minutes away from the stake center.  I was supper happy. Then to add on to it brother Sampolio went to the devotional so this was amazing. Also the two AP's and several other missionaries had served in Narvacan and so because the members here love the missionaries they were supper exited to see those of us who served or are serving in Narvacan again and we took a group picture. So it was great.
Sunday I was yet again the ward pianist for the ward then in priesthood class bishop asked me to teach about 5 minutes before class and gave me the talk from one of the 70 of the general authority. This was alright we then had a really good day finding trying to teach people.
Monday we planned to go to Pariso ni san juan a beautiful island but it was high tide and we weren't able to get out there so we got permission from our zone leaders and went to another municipality. We got a tour from one of the members from Narvacan of the whole beautiful beach side down there. There they had a Spaniard age guard tower and so it was amazing and supper cool and I love it.
So ya all and all this week has been pretty good and I absolutely loved it all.
This week I started the Book of Mormon again and I decided I would find every cross reference and so as I was reading in 1 Nephi. I learned so much more from this so my spiritual thought comes from 1 Nephi 1:1 1 I, Nephi, having been born of goodly parents, therefore I was taught somewhat in all the learning of my father; and having seen many afflictions in the course of my days, nevertheless, having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days; yea, having had a great knowledge of the goodness and the mysteries of God, therefore I make a record of my proceedings in my days. As I read this the word Goodly has a cross reference to Proverbs 22:1 and it says
1 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold.
A good name can do more for you then all of the riches so how do we make ourselves a good name not just with man but with God as well we follow those things that we are taught to do we read our scriptures, pray, and keep the commandments and here we will be blessed. I encourage you to build up your good name through these things.
I love you all thank you all.

Hello everyone even though this week may have been somewhat rough,
because I am still not in  my area. It;s been such a great and happy week,
that is why the title of my email is very beautiful week.
Monday we got the opportunity to work in my area and it was
amazing. First we visited the one solid person who has  a baptismal
date sister Hanna. This was amazing.  Unfortunately she has an issue
with marriage so we have to wait for them to figure it out before we
can proceed with baptism. But her testimony is amazing she bore it and
I could just feel that she knew and actually knew that the church is
true. Note when I showed up we had barely started teaching her. Now
she reads without us asking her to she goes to church every week
without  us asking her to (with a baby). I have come to see the love of
Christ for her so much and am so exited to see her continue in the way
she has progressed. After her we went and had an FHE with a member who
had several non members renting from them, one of which was a past
investigator.
Tuesday we had a great district counsel meeting about the gospel
of Jesus Christ. After district meeting we went out and worked in
Santa Maria area. This went well we had several lessons about the
gospel of Jesus Christ. This was great! Then it started dumping and when
I say dumping I mean harder than any rain I've seen before and being
from Oregon that's saying something. This was great for finding because
everyone was like step in get out of the rain. Here we met so
many people that have great potential.
Wednesday we had a CSP we went to one of the schools that a member
in Navcan is a principle of and helped clean and paint the hall way
getting ready for class on the 3rd. (Normally this would be seriously
bad but here it is encouraged) After this and getting ready we went
and ran into some members on the way out and they were going to a
patay (a funeral of sorts kinda) the person who had died was the grand
child of a member. So we went and visited the member and the husband
of the person who had died and we had the opportunity to share a
message about the Plan of Salvation. This was really well received by
all they liked the idea that they would see there loved ones again and
invited us back to share more on how it was possible. After this we
tried to visit some other people who were not there, so we went to the
farewell party for brother Robert Calibuso, who left for his mission
on Thursday and reported to the MTC on Thursday. After the farewell
we tried to visit some inactive members but they weren't home or were
asleep.
Thursday Elder Kaisler was sick so I went with elder Cluff and
elder Macalister, the other companionship in Santa Maria we went out
and tried to get some members to come and work with us but they were
asleep or busy. So we went out and tried to visit some of there people
but they weren't there. Then we went out to the other manicupality called
Bourgous there we visited some of there interested people and had a
great lesson about the Restoration then about the Book of Mormon it was
amazing. They had so many great questions like how can I know if this is
true. This was amazing. We then went and visited another family and
they were great were really interested and had lots of questions about
the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Friday pretty average day worked had some ok lesson so ya no
really amazing things except that elder Kaslere was well enough to work
(he had tonsillitis) and his Tagalag is getting so much better all of
our work together is paying off (I'm trying to help but not take over
for his trainer because he was called as the trainer.)
Saturday we had a random interested person text us who had not
been taught in a little bit we arranged to meet with them we met them
and got to know them we had a great lesson with them about the gospel
of Jesus Christ and the family is forever she really liked that
because here husband had passed away two weeks ago. We then went and
visited a part member family with bishop. We just were blessed
to run into after visiting them we went and visited one of the
prospective elders then went and visited the family of now elder
Calibuso.
Sunday was great sister Hana went to church as well as her dad
who is also not a member then several inactive members returned but I
didn't know this until that night but It made me so happy because the
people are progressing and I can see the progression. In sacrament
meeting I was pianist and put my 5 years of piano lessons an 3 years
of note reading in choir to use and actually did ok (mostly using the
regular hymn book because they chose ones that weren't in the
simplified) so that was great other than that I fasted for the people
in my area and it was great.
So over all this week was amazing even though it was rough not
being able to work in my area so ya.
This week my scriptural thought comes from  Moroni 10:3-5

3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if
it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember
how a merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the
creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these
things, and ponder it in your hearts.

4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye
would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these
things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with
real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of
it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.

This week I finished my 90 day reading challenge issued by our mission
president and as I read these verses I thought I should try this again
as I challenge people to do it at least weekly and as I did i felt a
calmness that can't be described I know that this is a book from God
and they are His words I there for challenge you now to follow the
challenge in these verses to read and then pray to know if it is true as
i know they are.
Thank you all for you love support and updates I love the emails i get
from you all from time to time so thank you
