Just before Ethan left we had an Elder who was "visa waiting" in our ward. He is going to the Baguio Philippines mission as well (maybe they will be companions someday!) Elder Washburn we look forward to seeing you again!
The day before we took Ethan to the airport he and I spent the morning in the temple. It was a very special day. We took our time and just enjoyed the whole day together. Tuesday evening he was set apart as a missionary by the Stake president. It was such a special evening. I thought my heart would burst.
We took Elder Davis to the airport VERY early in the morning. (His flight was at 6am meaning we had to leave our house shortly after 3 am. When I came out of my room to wake up the other kids Ethan was totally dressed and ready sitting on the couch. We gave lots of hugs and I love you's before he went through security. We waited and watched as he did. The sight of him walking off with another Elder who was going on the same flight as him will forever be in my mind. He was so happy and excited for this new adventure in serving the Lord.
From here out I will try to stick to mostly what Ethan writes and less of my own words...
