Hello every one this week has been kind of a weird week because of the
election but, ya that was that is a good description of my week
so let's start on the weekly report.
Monday had a good p-day worked with the elders in Santa Maria and
got to clean my apartment and then returned to Santa Maria and got to
go and meet some members there.
Tuesday I worked in Santa Maria and met some great members.
Wednesday I worked in Santa Maria then went down to Sanfernando the
mission headquarters and met my new companion Elder Thompson. We spent
the night at the house of the assistant to the president. Just a
little bit about Elder Thompson he came to this mission served here
for 10 months, but due to illness had to go home, now he has returned to
the mission after 7 months. He is a great missionary and is great with
just about everything.
Thursday we traveled to Narvacan This took 2 tries first time we
went to go and the AP's called us and said that we actually needed to
come back because they hadn't known that we needed to do a few things. So
we came down from the bus, hoped a trike back to headquarters, took care
of everything then went out. We went to Codoog and tried to visit some
people but no one was home because of there fiesta, and the election so
in the evening we went and visited brother Marko, a member here, he
was supper nice and is working on helping us after the the election.
Friday, we got instructions from the mission nurse to rest because
the jet lag was messing with Elder Thompson, so in the evening we
just went out and visited sister Hana. We had a great lesson with her
about the sabbath day.
Saturday, we went out to Pantoc and found no one was there due to
the election, and a motorcade we then went to San Antonioa and visited
a less active member the Melo family this was a good lesson we shared
about the gospel of Jesus Christ, and enduring to the end so that was
good and they were supper good.
Sunday, we went out to Nagsayowan and had a very good lesson about the
Gospel of Jesus Christ. We then traveled down to Sanfernando at the
instruction of President Bangal and spent the night there.
Monday, election day. We were not allowed outside so we with instruction
of the mission president went to the chapel and spent the day singing,
practicing for a special musical fireside that we will have in the
next few weeks. After we just chilled in the office. In the evening
some of the return missionaries from America that served in Baguio
Mission came and visited so we talked with them then they treated us
to pizza for dinner.
So ya that was our week just a little bit harder than normal because
of the election that's all. That is why I say I don't like the
election. That is also why I am emailing today and not yesterday sorry
about that.
This week my spiritual thought comes from 3 Nephi 28: 13
10 And for this cause ye shall have fullness of joy; and ye shall sit
down in the kingdom of my Father; yea, your joy shall be full, even as
the Father hath given me fullness of joy; and ye shall be even as I am,
and I am even as the Father; and the Father and I are one;
Here Jesus Christ talks to his apostles and tells them because of
the righteousness they shall experience true joy therefore we learn true
joy comes through God. I encourage you to follow the commandments of God
to those righteous things so that you can receive that true joy Jesus
talks about.
