Hello every one. Just an FYI I didn't get hit by the Earth quake. But
this week was pretty good so ya. Let's start!
Monday we found a returning member and visited them. We then
went and visit one of the members who weren't at church on Sunday.
Tuesday We had district counsel then had splits so I was
companions with elder Magistrado for the day we went out to an area
that technically was in there area but we had gone into not knowing that
it was there area. I introduced him to the people that we had met. We
had a great lesson with them about the Restoration of the gospel and
Church of Jesus Christ they were supper attentive and had lots of
questions. That night we had a lesson with sister Hana our solid
person with a baptismal date about the law of chastity. That actually
went really well and she actually responded well to the lesson.
Wednesday We went out and worked in Pantoc there we set an
appointment to meet and teach a returning member the next week and went
and taught brother Philip. We found brother Philip just through
regular finding techniques last week. We taught the restoration this
lesson was really good and he responded well. It made sense to him
he said. We then went and taught a lesson to sister, May Ann. Sister May
Ann was taught by past missionaries but due to there transfers no one
knew where she was. We had a really good lesson about the gospel of
Jesus Christ with her. After her we went to the house of the relief
society there we had dinner with them and a few other members
including the stake president and the second counselor in the mission
presidency. We shared a message and likend the war chapters in Alma to
how we should never come down off the mountain of our standards. That
was really good
Thursday we went out and worked with President Adviento
the second counselor in the mission presidency. We visited some of the
returning members in Codoog. One of the returning accompanied us out
to visit some of the others that lived there.
Friday We got punted and ended up doing findings until the
earning when we went and visited our Solid Person with a baptismal
date. We taught Her the Word of Wisdom that was really good she was
really receptive.
Saturday We went out and tried to visit one of our interested
people but he wasn't there so we taught his dad his dad was really
interested we shared the gospel of Jesus Christ. We tried to visit the
other returning members but he didn't want to meet with us but his
wife did he sat inside and we shared with them the Come Follow Me for
this week.
Sunday We went out and visited the people we visited Thursday.
Sister Nora the wife of a returning member had a really good lesson
about the restoration of the gospel and she accepted the invitation to
be baptized. It was supper exiting because it was a supper solid yes.
So ya this week was really good we had lots of really good lessons
even if stats were low. This is just evidence that stats don't mater.
My spiritual thought comes from Alma 57 verses 26-27 this is right
after a large battle with the Laminites this is what Moroni said about
his army's condition about how they all lived
26 And now, their preservation was astonishing to our whole army, yea,
that they should be spared while there was a thousand of our brethren
who were slain. And we do justly ascribe it to the miraculous power of
God, because of their exceeding faith in that which they had been
taught to believe—that there was a just God, and whosoever did not
doubt, that they should be preserved by his marvelous power.
27 Now this was the faith of these of whom I have spoken; they are
young, and their minds are firm, and they do put their trust in God
continually.
I would encourage you to build your faith so that you can be
comparable to these young men.
Thank you all for you support
Elder Davis
